This service is recommended when other components in the brake system have to be replaced also. This
usually includes the components relative to the hydraulic system such as calipers, wheel cylinders and the master cylinder. Sometimes a metal-to-metal condition can warrant the need to service or replace these components due to
overheating. It can also include the need to replace the brake rotors (disc) or drums if they have been scored below
recommended remachining specifications. Overhauls maybe recommended as
maintenance for your second or third reline of your car or truck.
A Brake Overhaul Maybe Required When:
 | Brakes have gone metal to metal and overheated the calipers or wheel cylinders |
 | A hydraulic leak is present at the calipers, wheel cylinders or master cylinder |
 | Caliper or wheel cylinder may be
seized internally |
 | Uneven brake pad or shoe wear from inner or outer
lining or side to side is discovered |
 | Vehicle may pull to one side or the other when braking |
 | Low or fading brake pedal when pressure is applied |
 | Contaminant has been introduced such as
petroleum based products |
